Gridworks
Established & Sons | 2026
GridWork is our new flooring design for Established & Sons in collaboration with Tongue & Groove. Following our debut flooring collaboration, Wall to Wall, which transforms classic parquetry into a living palette of colour and pattern, Wooden Tile introduces a simpler, cleaner, and more contemporary approach to wood flooring. It can beautifully cover an entire floor in a single colour, emphasising the minimalist grid, or be installed in endless colour and pattern combinations to suit a variety of architectural projects.
The collection consists of 15 × 15 cm refined, laminated solid oak blocks. It is available in 9 colours, ranging from warm blushes and browns to neutral greys as well as a few punchy saturated tones.
A simple square grid is one of the most common flooring arrangements since the introduction of industrial tiles. It is no coincidence that this clean and straightforward pattern fits so well within modernist architecture and interiors, such as the Bauhaus and the International Style. This square grid has been adopted in many materials: ceramic, stone, terrazzo, and numerous other industrially made surfaces. Surprisingly, it is very rare to find wooden flooring or parquet arranged in this way.
