Th‘Pivot’ is the result of an exploration of movement and gravity based on the mechanism of traditionalsewing boxes and toolboxes. The piece is a wall cabinet built on tall legs with two drawersthat hinge rather than slide making it possible to open both drawers at the same time. Imaginedas an entrance piece, Pivot is ideal for storing small items and everyday necessities : the fullopening of the drawers enables you to quickly run through their content.

‘Pivot’ was manufactured by Arco, one of Europe’s leading table manufacturers with a heritage of cabinet & sewing boxes making. Arco introduced Pivot in Cologne January 2008 as our firstdesign to be produced. The desk and dressing table versions were introduced later in 2011 - they have shorter legs and either a deeper table top or recess for a mirror along the back.
