Uzbek Bread
M | 2026
Looking at the Uzbek bread stamps, we realized that the making of these tools is a craft in its own right. The careful and meticulous arrangement of nails makes these utensils truly unique. Though purely functional, their function itself becomes decorative. Many of the traditional stamps show geometric patterns of flowers, which inspired us to create an image based on the structure of leaves from the studies of Joseph Paxton, a Victorian gardener who became an engineer.
Reimagined with a contemporary twist, Betty transforms traditional modular tiles with decorative elements that open up endless creative possibilities.
The collection includes a plain tile and four patterned variations:
T Shape,
Plus,
Frame,
Set
allowing for an array of compositions: grids, woven textures, labyrinths, and even optical illusions that add striking depth to surfaces. Available in three refined shades—Concrete, Blush, and Night Blue—these tiles can be arranged in both random and precisely planned layouts, resulting in ever-changing, visually engaging designs.
